Ex Joe Swartz #3931
7.9x5.2x6.5cm
These specimens emerged around the mid-2000s from a locality best known for its industrial molybdenum mining. While the site has been in operation since the 1970s, very few specimens have made it to market due to limited opportunities for collection. Purple creedite is a rare find globally, making this offering even more special. The crystals display a soft lilac hue, a delicate pastel that feels like you're holding spring itself in your hands. Small bursts of creedite crystals have bonded with the matrix, creating a fascinating geological structure. Each crystal is remarkably gem-like, allowing a clear view of the matrix beneath. Once you hold this piece, I guarantee you’ll find it hard to put down.
Joe Swartz was a passionate systematic collector with a primary focus on thumbnails. Over 40 years, he honed his expertise through in-person shows and books. Sadly, the original tags were lost to water damage, leaving us only with his handwritten notes. A great deal of time and care has gone into preparing this collection to be passed on to fellow collectors.
